Jan Started drawing when he was old enough to hold a pencil. He drew from life, he copied the etchings on his parents walls, he got his grandparents to pose for him. He also copied art off matchboxes, swap cards and books but most of all comic books and cartoons. His love of these forms has never faded. The humour of the disney and Warner brother characters, the power of Jack Kirby and John Buscema's Marvel Comic books thrills him to this day. Here is a few samples of the work inspired by his love of the medium.
